Laser Skin Resurfacing Danville
CO2 laser resurfacing can produce dramatic results in improving the tone and texture of the skin. The laser resurfacing can tighten the skin, remove lines, lessen scars and treat acne scarring. The skin has a youthful shiny appearance. The procedure for the full face is approximately an hour and a half and is done under a light general anesthetic in the outpatient surgery center. Recovery time is 7-10 days of swelling as the skin heals and then several months of redness. Light cover make-up can hide the redness but most patients remain indoors for the first 7-10 days after the procedure. Partial CO2 laser to improve the lines around the mouth can be performed in the office under a nerve block.
Lighter laser resurfacing procedures are available in the office but for deeper lines, severe sun damage or more extensive acne scarring, the CO2 laser is unsurpassed.
