Breast lift or mastopexy can restore the breast to it’s previous shape and provide a fuller, more perky look to the breast. Some women have always had drooping breasts and some develop more drooping after pregnancy or with weight loss. Breast lifts can be done with or without implants depending on the volume a patient wants to add to the breast and the look she wants to achieve. Surgery is 2-3 hours depending on the procedure chosen and the downtime is usually 1-2 weeks with exercise and lifting restrictions for 3-4 weeks. Surgery is done under a light general anesthesia as an outpatient in a fully accredited outpatient surgery center.
